Panic button has been pressed….3 sleeps to go!!!

March 10, 2016 by thekellysontour No Comments

It would be fair to say that with only 3 days to go until we leave all hell has broken loose and well – I am a gibbering, caffeine fuelled, makeup-less mess……!!!!

Husband’s Pre Holiday TO-DO-LIST….

  1. Lie on couch watching Lisa pack
  2. Fly to Italy

My Pre Holiday TO-DO-LIST….

I think it’s safe to say that hostages have been extracted from life threatening situations with less planning and organising than what is currently going on in my home….all so I can go away relatively guilt free.  Lists and colour coded spreadsheets have been created, detailing every single shitznit thing everyone needs to know.   Meals have been cooked and frozen, easter eggs purchased (and hidden from them and me lol) and reminder post-its attached to every wall.  No s**t…my TDL is 63 items deep — go back and reread husbands list my friends.  Yep!

Food Porn – it’s a coming!!!

February 29, 2016 by thekellysontour No Comments

Whenever I go on holiday, but most especially when I go overseas, I become one of those obnoxious douchebags who take photos of the meals we eat.  I always have – probably even before it became super popular. Please don’t judge me hehehe.  I do this for the same reason I take photos of all of our hotel rooms and places we see and things we do.  It’s all part of the journey we are on…..and since The Kelly’s love their food it was just a natural thing to capture that as well.  The photos of the food we ate, like all the other photos I take when away on holiday, make me smile and triggers the memory of the occasion, the city, the company we were with, how I was feeling etc….

Oh Mah Gawd - I am the worst at this. For some re Oh Mah Gawd - I am the worst at this. For some reason when we travel I need to have everything plus the kitchen sink.

After our last trip though where we caught Eleventy Hundred Trains and I had to carry my own suitcase on and off - lesson has been learned my friends.

I think I'll just take 3 French horns next time hahaha!
Could this gondola dude look anymore over us and o Could this gondola dude look anymore over us and our cheesy grins 😂. We look so gloriously happy I’d be annoyed too hahaha.
Have you ever done the touristy but compulsory gondola moment????
Who doesn’t love pandas? They are honestly the Who doesn’t love pandas? They are honestly the cutest cuddliest looking things and you can lose hours trolling the videos of pandas doing cute stupid stuff. Husband wanted to see pandas at the Beijing Zoo. I had read mixed reviews about the conditions at the zoo but I knew the pandas enclosures were first rate from being spruced up for the Olympics. So I agreed to go - and I’m so glad I did. The Strahov Library will leave you without words e The Strahov Library will leave you without words even with all those books around you. We booked a private tour and had the place to ourselves. PS. My globe obsession is now complete!!!
Colourful Burbank definitely did not disappoint. W Colourful Burbank definitely did not disappoint. What a beautiful island near Venice it is. Wandering around and admiring all of the colourful houses on a beautiful sunny day was absolute perfection. So great to escape the crowds of Venice and spend time here.
So excited. I've spent the last few days working o So excited. I've spent the last few days working on a new blog and logo for "The Kellys On Tour". Given technology is not my area of expertise - let's face it my skills only extend to drinking champagne, eating bread, cuddling my dog and taking pretty pictures - it was a tough gig and I'm glad it's done.

So after many tears and tantrums here is the new and hopefully improved blog. I am in love with the new logo and feel the new blog is easy to navigate. It still needs some tweaking here and there but the bulk of it is looking good. For a passion project this takes up more time than it should but it's my escape from reality (and let's face it we all need that don't we).

Check it out and let me know how much you love it (because you better love it lol) and if you see some spelling mistakes or a glitch definitely let me know.

Link in Bio.

I've still got tons of writing to do from our last trip and other things I want to ramble on about so now that I'm FINALLY happy with the blog I'm going to get to it! Promise xx
